Websites that bring work in, not just sit there
Most small business websites are a brochure that nobody updates. We rebuild them into something that looks like the business deserves and does real work — taking enquiries, answering questions, and handing you customers instead of just describing you to them.
The site is the first thing customers see, and it is out of date
A site built three years ago on a template nobody remembers the login for is worse than no site at all, because it is actively setting expectations. If it loads slowly on a phone, has an address that changed, or makes someone hunt for how to get in touch, it is costing you customers you never hear about.
The second problem is that most sites do nothing. They describe the business and then stop. Every enquiry becomes an email you answer by hand, every booking becomes a phone call, every routine question gets asked again. The site is a leaflet when it could be doing a job.
Signs this applies to you
- You wince slightly when you send someone the link
- It does not look right on a phone
- You cannot update it yourself without help
- Every enquiry arrives as an email you answer manually
- The same handful of questions come in over and over
- Customers cannot book, pay or order without talking to you first
What a rebuild involves
The design matters, but what makes the difference is what the site does after someone lands on it.
Working out what it needs to do
Before any design happens: what should someone be able to do on this site without contacting you? Book, order, ask, pay, find you. That answer shapes everything, and it is where most site projects skip straight to picking colours.
A design that fits the business
Not a template with your logo dropped in. Something that looks like your business rather than a category, built to load fast on the phone most of your customers are actually holding.
Findable in search
Proper page titles, real descriptions, sensible headings, a sitemap, and the local details that matter if customers find you by searching your town. Unglamorous and frequently skipped.
Enquiries that go somewhere
Forms and booking flows that reach you reliably, confirm to the customer, and can feed straight into the automations we build. An enquiry sitting unread in a form dashboard is a lost customer.
Connected to the rest of your stack
The site is usually the front door to everything else — a chatbot answering routine questions, a voice agent taking calls, automations posting your updates. Building it with those in mind is much cheaper than bolting them on later.
Handed over so you can run it
You get the ability to change your own text, prices and hours without calling anyone. A site you cannot edit goes stale within a year, which is how it got that way the first time.
What changes
Judged by what it does for the business, not how it looks in a portfolio.
- A site you are comfortable sending people to
- Customers able to book, ask or order without waiting on you
- Fewer routine questions reaching you by phone and email
- Findable when someone searches for what you do in your area
- Fast on a phone, which is where most of your visitors are
- Text and prices you can update yourself in minutes

Websites: common questions
Do I need a whole new site, or can you fix the one I have?
Either. If the current site is on a platform that still works and the bones are sound, improving it is cheaper and faster. If it is fighting you every time you try to change something, rebuilding usually costs less over two years than continuing to patch it. We will tell you which case you are in on the first call, and it is not always the more expensive answer.
Will I be able to update it myself?
Yes, and that is a deliberate design goal rather than an afterthought. Prices, hours, text and photos should be things you change in a couple of minutes. More structural changes — new page types, new integrations — usually need help, and we say so up front.
How long does a rebuild take?
A straightforward small business site is typically a few weeks from kickoff, and the largest variable is how quickly content comes back from you rather than anything technical. Sites with booking, payment or ordering flows take longer because they need proper testing before anyone relies on them.
Do you handle hosting and the domain?
We set both up and can manage them, or hand them over so they sit in your own accounts. We recommend the latter where possible — you should own your domain and your hosting outright, so that changing who builds your site never means renegotiating for access to your own business.
Is this an AI service?
The build itself is ordinary web work done properly. Where AI comes in is what the site can do once it exists: answer routine questions, take calls, route enquiries, publish your updates without you touching them. Plenty of clients start with the site and add those afterwards.

A general-purpose chatbot knows everything about the world and nothing about your business. One built on your own prices, policies and procedures can answer the questions your customers and staff actually ask — and hand over to a person when it should.
